"'PopulateTopMenus' has encountered a problem" error occurs while working in mail file
Intermittently, when you send a message or while you are simply working in your mail file, the following error occurs:
"'PopulateTopMenus' has encountered a problem."
The error will typically occur when you are using the keyboard shortcuts for action button options (e.g. in forms and views Alt + 1 to trigger the first action button, Alt + 2 to trigger the second action button etc.).
Resolving the problem
This issue has been reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# SFBI87AR72. Currently the only known workaround is not to use shortcut keys .
** Collecting Data **
If you can reproduce the issue, perform the steps below to collect debug to provide to IBM Support to then add to the SPR.
1. Add the following parameters to "Notes\Data\workspace\.config\rcpinstall.properties"
3. Close Notes and remove the parameter added in Step 1
4. Collect and send an ISA log to IBM Support per the instructions in technote #1424260.
