WebSphere Commerce V7.0 Feature Packs are cumulative. All features from previous Feature Packs are included in the latest Feature Pack release.
New features of IBM WebSphere Commerce V7.0
WebSphere Commerce V7.0 Feature Pack 1.0 offers the following features to enable businesses to deliver a personalized shopping experience:
- Remote widgets - Extend the brand experience by allowing retailers and shoppers to share information, events, wish lists, and more on third-party social networking sites through remote widgets. Remote widgets enable retailers to display marketing content on social networking sites, and shoppers to share their favorite items on social networking sites. In addition, content syndication by way of XML-based feeds allows retailers to publish marketing content, while enabling shoppers to subscribe to syndicated promotional content and read the content in a feed reader of their choice.
- Digital coupons - Allow retailers to manage the promotion and redemption of digital coupons in a Web store and by way of mobile devices.
- Localized starter store - Delivers localized shopping experience using starter stores for China and Brazil.
- Foundational leadership - Provides improvements in business user tools for catalog management, and also functional enhancements and tools to help reduce total cost of implementation (TCOI). In addition, it enables WebSphere eXtreme Scale integration to support large scale high performance caching. WebSphere Commerce now enables you to run servers with 64-bit WebSphere Application Server, offering additional memory addressability, scalability, and capacity.
