Technote (FAQ)

Question

When using Out of Office Service, what causes another domain to be appended to the recipients address?

When a sender from another domain sends an email on behalf of a user in the local domain, the other domain will be added to the local recipients address.

Answer

SPR #TPON85BDNV was raised to Quality Engineering for this issue. Customers experiencing this issue should open a ticket with Support and request to be subscribed to this SPR.

When a sender from another domain (domainB) sends an email on behalf of a user in the local domain (domainA), the FromDomain field is set as
@domainB. OOS will use this field when sending an out of office notification.

The resulting notification will try to send a mail to Principal@domainB, the user will not be found and a DFR will be generated
