When you run a firmware upgrade on the WebSphere DataPower XC10 Appliance on the original firmware that shipped with the appliance, no Java processes start.

Content

The following steps are necessary if you have Version 1.0.0.0 or Version 2.0.0.0 firmware on your appliance. You can check your version number by running the show version command. On Type 7199-92x appliances, the current firmware level is also displayed on the LCD module on the front of the appliance.

After you run the firmware upgrade process, run the clear-all command. You can use the start-progress command to monitor the percentage of completion for the restart. When the start-progress command displays a response of STARTED, you can log into the user interface.

CAUTION:

Do not run any other commands while the clear-all command is running. Only use the start-progress command to monitor the progress.
