Problem(Abstract)

The following errors, AWSEMI318I zPDTA Heartbeat Missing for CPU 0 and AWSEMI315I zPDTA License Unavailable for CPU 0 will occur when the IBM Rational Developer for System z Personal Development Tool model 1090 key is removed from the system.

Symptom

The following errors are displayed:

AWSEMI318I zPDTA Heartbeat Missing for CPU 0

AWSEMI315I zPDTA License Unavailable for CPU 0

Cause

The model 1090 key which looks like a USB thumb drive is removed from the system

Resolving the problem

The model 1090 key, which looks like a USB thumb drive, must remain inserted.
