Maintenance Renewal and Product Upgrades for the Anomaly Detection System (ADS) Appliance

Technote (FAQ)

Question

How do you renew your maintenance or get product upgrades for the Anomaly Detection System (ADS) appliance?

Answer

IBM Security Solutions discontinued the sale of all IBM Proventia Network Anomaly Detection System (ADS) models on October 14, 2008. All ADS clients have the option to transfer their maintenance contracts to Arbor Networks at the time of their maintenance renewal. This also includes the generation of new certificate files for the appliances.

Migrating their maintenance contracts to Arbor Networks is the only way for clients to continue to receive future enhancements. However, IBM will not deliver future product upgrades or feature enhancements. To continue to receive product enhancements, all ADS clients have the option to transfer their maintenance contracts to Arbor Networks at the time of their maintenance renewal period.
