Question

How can you verify if a certain IP is listed on dnsbl.cobion.com, and how do you request removal of an IP from the list?

Answer

IBM hosts its own DNSBL zone dnsbl.cobion.com that can be used for DNSBL(RBL) checks. This DNSBL zone is part of the default configuration for Proventia Mail Security System and Lotus Protector for Mail Security and a zonetransfer is done automatically. This article describes how to verify if a certain IP is listed on dnsbl.cobion.com and how to request removal of an IP from the list.
