What is Weblearn?
Answer
The Weblearn feature records all previously-unknown URLs in one or more text files (unknownurls.txt in obwebinstalldir\ofdb) and can be set to submit them once a day to IBM Security Systems. The submitted URLs will be visited and categorized automatically by our server park.
For some URLs, categorization is not possible, since the text and pictures on the website do not contain enough information for the automatic categorization process.
If a formerly unknown URL has been successfully categorized, your Proventia Web Filter will get the new categorized URL approximately 2 or 3 days after the upload of the unknown URL.
With the Weblearn feature, the categorization process will be optimized to the user's requirements, because it adapts to the sites the users are visiting.
