Troubleshooting
Problem
Jobs appear to hang and in Director there is the following warning: Message: Unable to Read XXXXXX from OMD.XML.DIR
Cause
This problem could be caused by the following:
- Check the permissions for the OMD.XML.DIR file in the following directory: /IBM/InformationServer/ASBNode/conf/etc/Xmlfile
- Make sure this partition is not out of space.
- You can disable operational metadata with the following steps:
1. Open the Administrator client.
2. Click Projects-->Projects-->Properties
3. On the General tab of the Project Properties window uncheck "Generate operational metadata"
4. Click OK.
