IBM continues to advance its leadership position in data visualization with the new offering, IBM ILOG Elixir Enterprise, as well as delivering enhancements to all existing IBM ILOG Visualization products.

IBM ILOG Visualization products are designed to help developers build state-of-the-art user interfaces for business applications with advanced display needs. These needs may require highly sophisticated graphical displays, specialized interaction capabilities, or fast screen updates. These displays contain mission-critical data that must be effectively communicated to the business user and the advanced displays provided by the IBM ILOG Visualization products are ideally suited for this.

Creating these displays is not easy, and requires a variety of skills in graphics design, systems architectures, object-oriented design, and rich Internet application (RIA) deployment. IBM ILOG Visualization products-- tools, components, and APIs-- enable software developers to create these displays rapidly, and with reduced risk to the project schedule.

IBM ILOG Elixir Enterprise is a new offering specifically designed for creating innovative business user interfaces. It provides a full spectrum of advanced, ready-to-use displays that large enterprises often need in their software applications, including:

  • 3D charts
  • Radar charts
  • Treemap charts
  • Dials and gauges
  • Organization charts
  • Maps and heatmaps
  • Timeliness and calendar
  • Resource-oriented and task-oriented schedule displays
  • Advanced services for creating intuitive diagram displays

These components are designed for developers using AdobeFlex and can be deployed anywhere that Adobe Flash is deployed, ensuring widespread availability. Using Elixir Enterprise saves organizations development time and reduces their project risk, while delivering a first-class user interface experience to their end-user.
