When an HTTP lookup is triggered on a form, the following message displays:
An error occurs when attempting an HTTP lookup.
As of JBoss 5.0.1, the file "commons-codec.jar" was removed from the Apache JBoss Application Server distribution. However, the distribution still includes the file "commons-httpclient.jar", which has a dependancy on the "commons-codec.jar" file, and which will be used by P8 eForms, if eForms is present. If P8 eForms is not present, lookups in P8 eForms function normally.
Resolving the problem
Delete the "commons-httpclient.jar" file from <JBOSS_HOME>/common/lib, and restart JBoss.
This is a known issue with JBoss 5.0.1, and has been resolved in JBoss 5.1.0
