Running report generates the RSV-SRV-0040 error message.

CCLOutOfMemoryError:0:Fatal: RSV-SRV-0042 Trace back: RSReportService.cpp


This problem occurs when running a large report after adding more data to the report.

Resolving the problem

In order to solve the issue check the following:

1. Ensure the temporary folder defined in Cognos Configuration has adequate amount of free space to handle the work files that will be generated.

2. If not the above issue check the memory on the system or consider adding more RAM to your computer

3. Reduce the query size (i.e. adding filters to reduce the amount of data retrieved by the report)
