When performing a typical installation of WebSphere Business Events V7.0 on a machine with a Japanese locale, the installation fails.
The following errors are displayed:
The wbe_install_debug.log shows -

Resolving the problem
APAR IZ72581 has been raised for this problem which will be available in Fix Pack 01. You can install FP01 to resolve this problem.
When installing the fix to resolve this problem, you can install WebSphere Business Events with any non-typical option. Then apply the fix for IZ72581 and build the profile.
To workaround this problem, you can do the following:
- Change the language settings on the machine to English in Regional options, Languages and Advanced tabs under Start > Settings> Control Panel> Regional and Language Options)
- Install the product with typical option in Japanese locale
- After installation completes, go back and change the Regional and language settings back to Japanese on the Operating system.
- When installing with Typical option, choose the language as English and finish the installation
