Is it possible to have a Rational Synergy client on UNIX or Linux connect to an IBM Rational Synergy server on Windows?

Cause

The following configurations are supported for Rational Synergy clients and servers:

  • UNIX, Linux and Windows clients can connect to a Rational Synergy server on UNIX or Linux
  • Only Windows clients can connect to a Rational Synergy server on Windows

You wish to connect a UNIX or Linux client to your Rational Synergy server on Windows.

No, it is not possible to have a Rational Synergy client on UNIX or Linux connect to a Rational Synergy server on Windows.
