Resolving The Problem

    Flex Application Enablement Troubleshooting Guide:

  1. Enable the browser under consideration (IE/Firefox) through 'Enable Environment' wizard and verify that the browser enablement test passes
  2. Verify if the application has been correctly compiled and enabled. To do so, double-click on the swf file, it will open within flashplayer as standalone application. It should show an alert message "Unable to load RFTFlexplugin. No id specified in the application". This alert message confirms that the application is enabled and reference to RFT Flex adapter has been added to the application
  3. If the enablement is a compile-time enablement, add the Flex application under test in trusted directory. To do so, follow these steps to assign trust designations:
    1. Create a folder FlashPlayerTrust in C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash.
    2. Create a file named Flex without any file extension in the FlashPlayerTrust folder
    3. Type the directory path of the Flex application in the Flex file. For example, if the Flex application is in C:\Test directory, type the path in the Flex file as C:\Test
    4. Save the file
  4. Verify that RFTFlexPlugin.dll is loaded in the browser using Process Explorer when you bring up the enabled Flex application
  5. If RuntimeLoading option is being used, check the following browser settings:
    1. Open Internet Explorer.
    2. Click on Tools > Internet Options
