How to enable the VBA menu option in Rational Rhapsody

Technote (FAQ)

Question

How do you enable the Visual Basic Application (VBA) option in IBM Rational Rhapsody?

Cause

You would like to run VBA scripts for post processing customization in Rational Rhapsody

Answer

To enable the VBA option in Rational Rhapsody, use the license file comprising the feature line FEATURE RPVBA. This feature is responsible for enabling Tools -> VBA menu option.

You can alternatively consider using the JAVA API instead of VBA. Java API will provide the same functionality. Check out a JAVA API sample located here: <Rhapsody-Path>\Samples\JavaAPI Samples>.

An API reference can be found in the technote 7017178.
