Abstract
IBM Maximo Asset Configuration Manager 7.1.1.1 enables users to review event actions and to synchronize the transactions between the Events application and the Assets (CM) -> View -> Position History tab.
Content
The Events Management capability introduced Maximo Asset Configuration Manager v7.1.1 allows the installation and removal of assets via an Event Action record.
If a customer uses the Events Management application, it is recommended that it is used as the sole method for updating the position history of an asset. However, the ability to perform these actions still exists in the Assets application, and can cause the position history to become out of sync with the events recorded in the Events Management application.
A new process has been introduced in Maximo Asset Configuration Manager 7.1.1.1 fix pack that allows users to review Event Actions and to synchronize the transactions between the Events application and the Assets (CM) -> View -> Position History tab.
A new action called Synchronize Events is available from the Events tab in the Events Management application.
When you select the Synchronize Events action, the Synchronize window displays all the action records related to the current event, all the On/Off records related to the asset of the current event and all of its children.
On the Synchronize window, you can select the On/Off records and create actions, delete actions, and merge actions with On/Off records.
When you create actions related to On/Off records, the following types of actions are created:
- One installation action for each N type On/Off record selected.
- One removal action for each F type On/Off record selected.
- One installation action and one removal action for each B type On/Off record selected.
To synchronize the date in an action record with the date of an On/Off record, select the action and the On/Off record that you want to synchronize. Then, click Merge. The date in the action record is changed to the ontime or offtime of the On/Off record (depending on the type of record you selected).
The action record and the On/Off record that are synchronized must refer to the same asset.
