Troubleshooting
Problem
When logical logs are full and triggers automatic log backup either using alarmprogram.sh or log_full.sh, bar_act.log gives XBSA error 106.
Symptom
- Only automatic log backup through script is failing.
- Manually backing up logical logs using onbar command: 'onbar -b -l' works fine
- Level 0 backup or dbspace backup working fine
- Whole system backup using onbar -b -w will backup all the logs that has not been backup.
Cause
This is normally caused by permission issue.
Resolving The Problem
Check to make sure Informix is started up as informix user and not root user. If it is started as root user, shutdown and restart Informix as informix user
