Multiple versions of DOORS on one computer

Technote (FAQ)

Question

Is it possible to install multiple versions of IBM Rational DOORS on one computer?

Cause

When you install a newer version of the software the previous minor version is removed.

Answer

Yes, you can install different major release versions of DOORS on the same machine.

For example, you can DOORS version 8.3 and 9.5 on the same computer; however, you can not install more than one version of a major release.

For example, if you install DOORS 9.5 on your DOORS version 9.3 machine, the previous installation is removed (as indicated in upgrade section of the installation instructions).

Also, older minor versions of a release can not be installed to replace a newer version.
A message will display informing you the newer version must be removed.
