Universal Agent - Sharing Windows System variables

Technote (FAQ)

Question

The Universal Agent Script dataprovider only has the parameter ENVFILE to specify additional variables.
What's the way to share the Windows System variables ?

Answer

APAR IY93346 (titled "UA SCRIPT DP NEEDS TO RUN IN CONTEXT OF USER ENV") has been opened to address the request above.

APAR has been closed and the code change will eventually be done within enhancement request (ER) MR0401102113.

While the ER is being implemented, the following information may help to address these needs.

To get the system environment into the DP without using the ENVFILE is to run the command with cmd /c as interpreter.
The line should be;

//SOURCE SCRIPT cmd /c test.cmd

The cmd /c opens a sub command process with the system environment, runs the script and ends after running.
