Problem
Collecting data for WebSphere Integration Developer V7.0 installation problems. Collecting this MustGather information before calling IBM support will help you understand the problem and save time analyzing the data.
Resolving The Problem
Information to be used in diagnosing installation related issues, including:
- Fresh install of the product
- Fix Pack application or upgrade on an existing installation
If you have already contacted support, continue on to begin collecting installation data. Otherwise, click: Collecting data for WebSphere Integration Developer.
Collecting installation specific information
WebSphere Integration Developer V7.0 install/upgrade is composed of two phases.
I: WebSphere Integration Developer workbench install/upgrade
II: Test environment install/upgrade, which includes installing WebSphere Application Server
Phase I
If you are experiencing problem in phase I, open IBM Installation Manager , choose its menu,
Help->Export Data for Problem Analysis.
Explanation:
A zip file is created containing all Installation Manager data, including files,
C:\Documents and Settings\All users\Application Data\IBM\Installation Manager\logs,
C:\Documents and Settings\All users\Application Data\IBM\Installation Manager\installed.xml,
C:\Documents and Settings\All users\Application Data\IBM\Installation Manager\histories
which are crucial for install problem analysis.
Phase II
If you are experiencing problem in phase II, which indicates
- WTE (WAS) install failed, collect (<WAS_HOME> = <WID_HOME>_WTE\runtimes\bi_v7)
1. <WAS_HOME>\logs
- if (1) does not exist, it indicates that install failed before <WAS_HOME> was created, collect
2. <USER_HOME>\waslogs
3. <USER_HOME>\wbilogs
Follow instructions to send diagnostic data to IBM support.
