Abstract
This document describes the software and firmware stack recommended for the IBM Smart Analytics System 5600 V1. This technote applies to systems based on System x3650 M2 servers, DS3400 storage, and SMC 8848M Ethernet switches.

IBM Smart Analytics System Support strongly recommends that you remain on a recommended software and firmware stack for an IBM Smart Analytics System environment. If you must deviate from a recommended stack, consult the FAQ about software and firmware upgrades.
