Is Microsoft Windows 7 supported on IBM WebSphere Development Studio Client, IBM Rational Developer for i or IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems Software?
Answer
- The IBM Software Support Lifecycle Policies states WebSphere Development Studio Client 7.0 will reach its end of support at the end of April 2010, so Microsoft Windows 7 will not be supported.
- There are no plans to support Microsoft Windows 7 on Rational Developer for i version 7.5
- Microsoft Windows 7 is supported with Rational Developer for Power Systems Software 7.6.
Please note that Windows 7 may work with IBM Rational Developer for i 7.5 or IBM WebSphere Development Studio Client 7.0, but it is not officially supported. If you experience a problem with either of these products with Windows 7, we would recommend upgrading to IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems Software 7.6.
