Abstract
IBM® Maximo® Asset Management for Energy Optimization 7.1.0 fix pack 1 enhances the way in which you view assets in the heat map. The selection criteria for the “Retrieve Assets at Selected Map Location” window now takes into account the intersection between the physical dimension of any asset and the physical dimension of the selected asset.

This fix pack enhances the way in which you view assets in the heat map. The selection criteria for the “Retrieve Assets at Selected Map Location” window are part of the layout heat map. The selection criteria now take into account the intersection between the physical dimension of any asset, such as rack server, PDU, or mounted sensor, and the physical dimension of the selected asset such as the rack.
The physical dimension of an asset is based on its X,Y coordinate position (the anchor point relative to a to a 0,0 location within the data center) and the asset size (width, length and height). When a rack server or PDU is mounted inside a rack and you select the rack, the rack server or PDU is displayed in the window along with the rack. This is so because the anchor point of the rack server or PDU physical dimensions intersect with the rack dimensions.
To control whether assets that are side by side are displayed with the selected asset, you can use a new system property, mxe.meo.assetboundary.This system property controls the distance from the bound of the selected asset that is included in the selection criteria. A default value of -0.1 (1/10 of a foot) is provided to ensure that only assets within the boundary of the selected asset are included in the window. Assets that abut that boundary are not included in the window. You can choose to set this value as wanted. If you use a positive number, the system includes assets that are beyond the selected asset. The mxe.meo.assetboundary system property applies to all data centers.
