No license key available for Rational Business Developer

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

This technote explains how to resolve an error "No license key available for IBM Rational Business Developer" that can occur in IBM Rational Licensing when you run IBM Rational Business Developer software on your machine.

Cause

This error is generated because one of the below licenses are missing :

1. IBM Rational Business Developer
2. IBM Rational for System i for SOA

Resolving the problem

To resolve this issue you will need to have both licenses available.

Rational Business Developer has two licenses, one that enables all of Rational Business Developer for Rational Business Developer stand-alone installations and one for IBM Rational for System i for SOA that enables a subset of Rational Business Developer, excluding generation to System z.

Therefore, you will need to make sure that you have both licenses on the server.
