  •
In version 7.1.1.6 and 7.1.2.3, the error message above has been modified to the following:
Microsoft Word is not installed or configured properly.

Resolving The Problem

To resolve this issue, the system administrator must create a new folder.

For a 64-bit Microsoft Office installation:
  1. Go to the directory C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile.

  2. Create a new folder named Desktop C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\Desktop

NOTE
On certain systems running Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit with 64-bit Office installed, in addition to following the above steps, you may need to follow the 32-bit Office steps below.

For a 32-bit Microsoft Office installation:
  1. Go to the directory C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile

  2. Create a new folder named Desktop C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\Desktop

Now the Word integration will work correctly in RequisiteWeb.

NOTE
If the problem persists after you finish this procedure, refer to tech note 1266463.
