How do you dynamically change the log level without restarting the feed handler?
Under normal conditions, feed handler logging is usually kept at the Error (3) or No Logging (4) levels, to prevent logging activity from affecting overall performance. However, when an issue arises that requires additional logging information to understand what is going on, it may be necessary to dynamically change the log level of the feed handler without restarting it. The following steps explain how to do this:
1. Start the ITAD application.
2. In the "Explorer" panel, right click the target feed handler icon and select "Log Level" from the options list.
4. In the "Set Log Level" window, select the log level you want to use, and then click the "Send" button.
As noted in the above note, the log level setting will not persist across a feed handler restart. To permanently change the feed handler's log level, set the APP_LOG_LEVEL entry in the configuration file of the specific feed handler.
