Technote (FAQ)
Question
Can ATF be used to control the times used by the Tivoli Workload Scheduler, formerly known as Operations Planning and Control (OPC)?
Answer
No. TWS uses direct STCK instructions to retrieve the times used for its job scheduling processing, and as such ATF cannot have an effect on the observed times. Creating a set of ZAPs to switch the STCKs to ATF SVCs is not practical.
Note:
This does not apply to the jobs submitted from TWS. The times seen by each individual job is controlled by the ATF VCD in the same way as jobs submitted by an end user.
