4.2.0.0-TIV-BSM-IF0004 fails to install
|
| | | Problem(Abstract) | | Trouble implementing BSM patch with TIP fixes. | | | | Symptom | | When attempting to run the install for the WAS update installer it doesn't work. the UNIX prompt comes back immediately without prompting for a install location or issuing any type of error or warning panel as expected. | | | | | | | Resolving the problem | Two possible solutions:
1) If possible, access the system using VNC, and then run "./install" which will launch the GUI panels for the installation.
2) If using SSH, then you need to install WUI silently. To do this: - you will need to go in the cdimage, and locate 7.0.0.1-WS-UPDI-LinuxIA32.zip.
- Then extract that zip, and
- Next find "responsefile.updiinstaller.txt" file in UpdateInstaller directory.
- Next read the instructions above each parameter in this file, and make the changes so it fits
- your environment.
- Save the file when complete.
- Then, you should be able to launch the installer silently, by using the following command:
./install -options <path to responsefile.updiinstaller.txt> -silent | | | | | | | | Historical Number | PMR39026
