Can "fixup" be run offline on multiple databases at the same time?
|
| | | | Problem | | Can "fixup" be run offline on multiple Lotus Domino databases at the same time? This would be useful if there are thousands of databases in the Data directory that consume a huge amount of space. | | | | | Resolving the problem | You can run fixup offline on multiple databases simultaneously. For example, if you wanted to run fixup offline only on mailfiles (Mail1, Mail2, and so on), do the following:
At a command prompt, enter the following command:
C:\Lotus\domino\nfixup -f C:\Lotus\domino\data\mail1\
In a second command prompt, enter:
C:\Lotus\domino\nfixup -f C:\Lotus\domino\data\mail2\
In a third command prompt, enter:
C:\Lotus\domino\nfixup -f C:\Lotus\domino\data\mail3\
...and so on.
Running this way breaks up the amount of workload for one single "fixup" task.
You can run other maintenance tasks such as "compact" and "updall" offline in the same way. | | | | | | | | | |
