Compatibility matrix for the Content Manager OnDemand clients and servers

The following tables list versions and levels of each Content Manager OnDemand client that is supported and tested with its respective server.

Important:

• Combinations of the Content Manager OnDemand clients and servers outside of the listed tables might work, but might not have been tested and are not recommended.
• The Content Manager OnDemand batch administration (ARSXML) is compatible with a server that is running at the same fix pack level only.
• Version 8.4.0.x clients do not support enhancements made to version 8.4.1.x and later servers, for example, character strings longer than 254 bytes, BIGINT data type and Enhanced Retention Management (ERM). See the README files for details on server enhancements.
• Version 8.4.x clients do not support enhancements made to version 8.5.x and later servers, for example, DECFLOAT data types. See the README files for details on server enhancements.
• Version 8.5 clients do not support enhancements made to version 9.0 and later servers, for example, the new date data types. See the README files for details on server enhancements.
• The 8.5 administrative client does not support Report Distribution on a 8.4.1.x server. You must use the 8.4.1.x administrative client to manage these features.
• Content Manager OnDemand client version 8.4.1.5 is the last version capable of accessing Spool File Archive (SFA) data for iSeries.
• Versions might be out of support. Visit the extended support Web site for details regarding continued support.
