Upgrading to BIRT 2.3.2 in V7 Products

Technote (FAQ)

Question

What are the new features and upgrade considerations of BIRT 2.3.2 introduced in Base Services 7.1.1.5.

Answer

In Maximo Version 7.1.1.5, the embedded reporting tool, BIRT, has been upgraded to Version 2.3.2 which is based on Eclipse 3.4.2. In versions prior to 7.1.1.5, BIRT 2.1.2 was used.

Upgrading to BIRT 2.3.2 enables multiple feature enhancements in both the BIRT Designer and BIRT Engine. This document will detail those new features, and also discuss the upgrade considerations of any custom report designs you may have created in BIRT 2.1.2.

For more details on other reporting features, access the Maximo Report Wiki Pages available here
or the Maximo Report Reference Materials located here
