'LDAP Schema: Sending schema database replication request to MQ$REPLICATOR'

 Technote (FAQ)

Question
In Lotus Domino, you have a hub and spoke environment and LDAP runs on the hub and one or more spoke servers. After you upgrade a spoke server or install a new spoke server in Domino 8, you see the following message on the Domino console:

"LDAP Schema: Sending schema database replication request to MQ$REPLICATOR".

What does this message indicate?

Answer
The Domino schema daemon runs by default every 15 minutes to check for updates to schema.nsf replicas in the environment. These messages may occur during that process and are informational only. You may find more information on the schema daemon and its functions in the Domino Administrator help guide by searching for the keyword "schema daemon".
