Technote (FAQ)

Question

After upgrading from Nitix to Lotus Foundations Start, some of my Perl or PHP scripts do not work.

Answer

A number of Perl and PHP add-on modules that had been part of the standard Nitix OS have been removed from Lotus Foundations.

Below is a list of the Perl modules that are no longer included:

  • Authen::PAM
  • CGI::SpeedyCGI
  • Unicode::IMAPUtf7

Below are a list of the PHP Pear modules that are no longer included:
  • Date
  • DB
  • HTML/Common
  • HTML/Select
  • Log
  • Mail
  • Net/SMTP

Important Note: Pear modules must be explicitly included or required. If your PHP application does not include or require them, it does not use them.
