Users accessing iNotes on version 8.5 are not notified of new mail unless they are within the browser hosting the mail file. Users have enabled the notification within preferences to prompt when new mail arrives but if they are not in the mail file they will never receive a prompt.
Users would like to be able to work in other applications and be notified when new mail arrives.
Resolving the problem
This issue has been reported to Lotus Quality Engineering as SPR# NCTN7Q7UT8 and no longer occurs in IBM Domino 8.5.3.
