IBM Support

Personal Communications does not use the Last-Exit View data from PCSWIN.INI file

Question & Answer

Question

How can I make IBM Personal Communications use the Last-Exit View data from the PCSWIN.INI file instead of the data stored in each WS profile?

Cause

Starting with Personal Communications 5.8.2, session window size and font information is stored in each WS profile instead of the common PCSWIN.INI file.

Answer

To disable this new function and restore the use of PCSWIN.INI for session window size and font information you must add a registry key using REGEDIT:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IBM\Personal Communications\CurrentVersion\Preferences\LastExitViewFromINI

By default it will be T(True) for reading from the INI file. Set it to F for reading from the WS.
