Logs to gather when reporting a Rational Software Analyzer support case

Technote (FAQ)

Question

When you have an issue with IBM Rational Software Analyzer, which logs should you gather from your computer in order to provide support with enough information to troubleshoot your issue?

Answer

To troubleshoot Rational Software Analyze issues, you should always provide the Eclipse .log log file.

This can be obtained in many ways, as detailed in this official Eclipse Wiki entry:

http://wiki.eclipse.org/FAQ_Where_can_I_find_that_elusive_.log_file%3F

If possible, you should also include the source code files you are having issues with to help us reproduce the issue in-house.
