The end of support date for IDS 10.00 products is rapidly approaching. Effective September 30, 2010, IBM will withdraw support from the IDS 10.00 product releases.

What are the end of support dates for IDS 10.00?
End of support for IDS 10.00 products is September 30, 2010. The
IDS Support Lifecycle page contains the list of end of support dates for IDS products.
Extended support may be purchased to extend your support until September 30, 2013.

"End of support" indicates the last date on which you are entitled to base support for your IDS product. You can extend the support period beyond the end of support date for an additional fee.

"Extended support" indicates the final date in which IBM shall end all support for the IDS products.


How do I purchase a Support Extension?
Support extensions may be purchased for an additional fee. To extend the support period beyond September 30, 2010, please contact your local IBM Sales Representative. For direct inquiries, US Customers may call IBM Sales at 1-888-426-4343, option 3 and ask for a Service Extension on IDS. Customers in other geographies should refer to
the IBM directory of worldwide contacts to find sales contact numbers in their region.

When the server product goes out of support, does the client also go out of support?
Yes, the IDS 10.00 clients will no longer be supported. All IDS 10.00 products will end support on September 30, 2010.
IDS 10.00 clients connecting to IDS 11.x will no longer be supported by IBM after September 30, 2010, unless a
support extension has been purchased.
