Is Single Sign-on supported with feed widgets using Notes?

 Technote (FAQ)

Question
In Lotus Notes, you would like to subscribe to a RSS feed using the Notes embedded browser. If you enter a URL to try to subscribe to a feed, you receive the following error:

"unable to download feed from SERVERNAME.XXX.XXX server returned error code 400".

Is Single Sign-on supported with feed widgets using Notes?

Answer
Lotus Notes Login is not supported to get ltpa tokens from a third party web server for Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication using RSS Feeds.

An enhancement request for this new functionality was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR#NKEY7QUMFA.

As a workaround, create an account with the user's authentication details in the clients "Preference" menu for each site.
