JVM terminated Exit code=160 - When MQ Explorer launches the Help Center

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

You launch the Help Center (using Firefox) from within WebSphere MQ Explorer, and it causes a crash with error "JVM terminated. Exit code=160".

Cause

There is an issue when running the Standard Widget Toolkit (SWT) browser inside Eclipse on some Linux distributions when the default browser is Firefox.

Resolving the problem

Set the"MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME" environment variable for Firefox.

Example:
If Firefox is installed in /usr/lib/firefox-3.0.10, then use one of the following commands.

    export MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME=/usr/lib/firefox-3.0.10

or if using the 'csh' shell or similar :

    setenv MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME /usr/lib/firefox-3.0.10

This requirement is noted in the SWT FAQs section of the Eclipse website:
http://www.eclipse.org/swt/faq.php#browserlinux

After setting this environment variable to the appropriate value MQ Explorer should successfully launch the Help Center.
