Question

After configuring a desktop ObjectServer (DSD) read-cloud in Webtop 2.1, a user can't see the restriction filter at in the Restriction Filter field in the Webtop User Preferences and the filter is not applied to the user

Cause

The "webtop_compatibility" trigger was not enabled on the DSD ObjectServers by default

Answer

The problem is that the "webtop_compatibility" trigger is not enabled on the DSD ObjectServers by default, so the master.profiles table is not being updated at the DSD level. Webtop reads its restriction filters from there. In the Aggregation layer virtual pair this trigger is enabled. Also the uni-directional gateways serving the DSD ObjectServers don't reference master.profiles so the information is not passed down.

Ensure that this trigger/trigger group is enabled at the DSD level. Enable the trigger group "compatibility_triggers"
