Technote (troubleshooting)
Problem
Lotus Domino 64-bit provides memory relief for customers who today are experiencing problems such as crashes or system hangs on Windows and AIX due to out of memory conditions. In 64-bit Domino, both operating system memory limits and internal Domino memory limits have been greatly expanded. This helps with memory issues that might be experienced with 32-bit Domino. It is recommended that customers use 64-bit Domino on AIX based on these 32-bit limitations.
In some cases, you may have a need to deploy the Domino 8.5.x AIX 32-bit version. This is typically due to supporting applications not supporting 64-bit Domino. Where can you download that version?
Resolving the problem
It is highly recommended that you begin using 64-bit Domino on AIX. At some future release the 32-bit Domino on AIX will not be supported.
For the 8.5.1 and 8.5.2 releases, 32-bit Domino on AIX is fully supported. It can now be downloaded the same way as other platforms:
