Required CDs and downloadable images to install IBM WebSphere Portal Express V6.1.0.1

| | | Question | | When preparing to install IBM® WebSphere® Portal Express version 6.1.0.1, you are unsure of which CDs or CD images you need. | | | | | | Answer | The table below lists the minimum required CDs or images to install IBM WebSphere Portal Express V6.1.0.1, separated by operating system. The table is split into three columns:
- CD Number -> The physical number of the CD, which can be found on the CD label.
- Image File -> The name of the archive file of the image you would download from IBM Passport Advantage. NOTE: The image file names are accurate as of December 2008 but they are subject to change.
- Contents of CD -> A list of the contents of the CD.

Tips on how to search for product files on IBM Passport Advantage:
Find by Search Text (Recommended)
1. In Search Text field, type "WebSphere Portal Express 6.1.0.1".
2. Click Search.
3. In the results page, expand WebSphere Software.
4. Scroll down the results and expand the eAssembly for which you are entitled to view the contents.
5. Select the CD images that correspond to your operating system in the tables below and download.
Find by Part Number
1. In Search Text field, type the image file name that corresponds to your operating system from the tables below.
2. Click Search.
3. In the results page, expand WebSphere Software.
4. Scroll down the results and expand the eAssembly for which you are entitled to view the contents.
5. Select the CD images that correspond to your operating system in the tables below and download.
***IMPORTANT*** PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT YOU ARE DOWNLOADING
Image file names are subject to change but CD numbers are not. Before you download a file, ensure that the CD number corresponds to the image you are trying to download. For example, you may see this:
"IBM WebSphere Portal V6.1.0.1 and Lotus Web Content Management V6.1.0.1 - IBM WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment for Windows (32-bit), V6.1.0.19 (W-1) Multilingual (C1TQ5ML)"
The (W-1) refers to the CD number (in this case, CD W-1). The (C1TQ5ML) refers to the image file name. It is more reliable to go by the CD number than the image file name.
