Troubleshooting


Problem

[ All users were unable to log into TM1 Web although no changes had been done to the system settings. The users where however able to log into TM1 Perspectives/Architect without any problems. This behaviour were evident when starting TM1 both as an Service and as an Application. ]

Symptom

Login Failed. Please Try Again...

87: TM1APIDOTNET Exception: - <name of server>: The specified server is not found

Environment

TM1 9.1 SP2 U2, 32 bit Windows

Resolving The Problem

Run importsslcert.exe and this will allow users back into TM1Web. If persistent problems occurs with the SSL certificates it is recommended that an upgrade to TM1 9.1 SP2 U3 is done as this contains fixes addressing SSL.

Steps:

Navigate to the TM1 SSL folder (usually found at C:\Program Files\Cognos\TM1\Bin\SSL) and double click on the importsslcert.exe file located within it. Restart the server and refresh the web site.
