Unable to connect natively to an Oracle 10G database in Impromptu 7.1.
[Error Message -]
DMS-E-DBDLL_NOTFOUND, the dynamic link library could not be found in the search path.
Add a reference to the DLL in the COGDMOR.INI file to resolve this
problem.
Steps -
1. Close Impromptu and
locate the COGDMOR.INI file in the \Program Files\Cognos\cer3\bin directory
structure.
2. Open the COGDMOR.INI file in a text editor.
3. Add the line noted below to the DLL Names section at the end of this
file:
ORUNIX=libclntsh,8.0
ORWIN=OCI.DLL,8.0
OR101-Win32=ORACLIENT10.DLL,10.0 <--- Add this line
OR901-Win32=ORACLIENT9.DLL,9.0
OR817-Win32=ORACLIENT8.DLL,8.1
