Problem
The following error message is displayed when trying to access Scheduler: [
A fatal Scheduler error has occured C:\Program Files\Cognos\cer3\bin\User Workspace\Schedule.mdb modMain.StartUI. Component 'tabctl32.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid (339) CognosBatcher.ServiceRequest Application-defined or object-defined error

Resolving The Problem
This error can mean either that the tabctl32.ocx file needs to be registered by REGSVR32.EXE or that the tabctl32.ocx file is missing from the C:\WinNT\System32 directory and needs to be registered REGSVR32.EXE. To resolve the issue follow these Steps:
- Run a search for the tabctl32.ocx file. Should be located in the C:\WinNT\System32 folder. If you cannot
find it then copy the file from another computer and drop it into the C:\WinNT\System32 directory of the computer that generates the error.
OR - Drag and drop the tabctl32.ocx file on REGSVR32.EXE (should be located in C:\WinNT\System32). This registers the file and allows Scheduler to open without error.
