Problem

Error [IBM CLIENT ACCESS] [AS/400] [odbcv2 driver] Extended Dynamic Support Disabled ERROR -3989587 DMS-E-GENERAL, A General Exception has occurred during operation 'prepare request' DMS-I-INFORMATION, The target database has returned information concerning the "analyze" operation [IBM CLIENT ACCESS] [AS/400] [odbcv2 driver] Extended Dynamic Support Disabled EXPENG-E-EXPL1, The Expression Engine node requires more operands or EXPENG-E-EXP1, The Expression Engine node requires more operands. when attempting to run a report in Impromptu against an ODBC datasource using the Client Access ODBC driver.

Resolving The Problem

1. In the ODBC Administrator
2. Select the Client Access ODBC driver
3. Select the AS/400 data source
4. Choose Options and check the Performance radio button.
5. Change the Extended Dynamic from disabled to ENABLED.
