Troubleshooting


Problem

Contributor Macro fails when it executes an Analyst macro that runs a dlink that targets Finance. The link can be run manually and the link can be run via Analyst macro (dlink execute).

Symptom

Unable to execute macro '{827A1100-D6EA-4F7D-A803-643A768A28BD}'~~~~Unable to execute 'Execute Analyst Macro'~~~~Unable to execute macro 'macroname'. The return code was 1107.

Cause

Directories in Finance System are using mapped drive letter rather than UNC path.

Resolving The Problem

Edit the IBM Cognos Finance System Directories to use UNC Path

Steps:1. Open Cognos Finance

2. From the menu select Connection->Edit Connection

3. Select the Finance System that the Analyst link is using as the target

4. Click the Directories button and change Cognos Finance Edit System Directories paths to UNC
