Problem
Crosstab report with several queries that were joined together at the report level via outer joins. The queries themselves would execute without error and return the correct data. When he tried to add the data items to a crosstab though he would get the error.
Symptom
OP-ERR-0046 Unable to support query items from the same dimension on different report dimensions '{0}''{0}' - valueSet list
Cause
The error appears to have an issue with the rows and columns being taken from the same dimension in the model.
Resolving The Problem
Declare dimensional information for the final query that is populating the crosstab. Steps: 1. Open the report in Report Studio 2. Navigate to the query that is feeding the crosstab via the Query Explorer 3. In the properties pane for the query, change the Override dimension info property to Yes from No 4. At the bottom of the screen, there will now be a Dimension Info tab 5. Add the items for the rows to one dimension by dragging them from the insertable objects pane to the dimension column. 6. Add the items for the columns to the white space in the dimension column to create another dimension. 7. Drag the measures for the crosstab to the facts columThe report should execute now.
