Cannot access Lotus Notes database via Framework Manager for a datasource

Troubleshooting


Problem

Cannot retreive data from Lotus Notes database via Framework Manager.

Symptom

The query contains an error and cannot be executed.
It is recommended that you view the query feedback on the "Query Information" tab.
RQP-DEF-0177 An error occured while performing operation 'sqlScroll =BulkFetch' status = '-232'.
UDA-SQL-0107 A general exception has occured during the operation "fetch".

Cause

The length for the text and rich text format was set to a lower limit.

Resolving The Problem

Windows 2003:
Change the length for Text and Rich Text field to higher limit of 1024 for ODBC Lotus Notes in the ODBC.INI file.

Windows 2000/XP:
Change the value of MaxVarcharLen and MaxLongVarcharLen in the registry key entry for your ODBC connection. <HKLM/Software/ODBC/ODBC.ini>

NOTE: When editing the Windows registry ensure that you backup the registry before making any changes.
